Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Speak is a book about a girl names Melinda Sordino who is starting highschool. The summer before high school a lot of things happen to her, which make her friends mad at her. During her freshman year, Melinda doesn't speak out about what happened to her during that summer. She becomes friends with a girl names Heather, who is almost Melinda's opposite in some ways. After a while Heather ditches Melinda because of the fact that she has a reputation and is very quite. At the end of the book, her ex-friends realize what happened, and on the last day of school Melinda realizes she got her first A+ from her art teacher. Also, as the bell rang, Melinda finally go the courage to tell her story, and she did!
I thought this book was very good, and I would recommend it to everyone!
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
A Walk to Remember is a book about two very different seniors in highschool, who fall in love. Landon never thought he would fall in love with Jamie, the preachers daughter. When Landon unexpectedly asked Jamie to Homecoming everything starts to change.They start spending all their time together. After going out for a couple of months Jamie reveals a horrible secret that she was trying to hid. She has leukemia, and is going to die soon. Their relationship proves to be even stronger then they thought, and at the end Jamie dies, but it is obvious that Landon will love her forever.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes romantic novels because it keeps you in the story, with a great plot!
